VERDELL C. UNVERFEHRT
Mrs. Verdell Clara Unverfehrt of Okawville, IL departed this life in the extended care unit of the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 7:33 A.M. She had attained the age of 90 years, 8 months, and 27 days.
Verdell was born at home on the family farm in Venedy Twp., Washington County, IL on May 27, 1934, the daughter of August and Emma (nee Borrenpohl) Brockmeier. Verdell was baptized in the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in rural Okawville on June 3, 1934, and later confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville. She was a 1952 graduate of Okawville High School. Verdell was united in marriage to Alfred C. Unverfehrt in the Immanuel Lutheran Church on February 6, 1955, and they began farming in rural Washington County. Alfred preceded her in death on February 8, 2011.
Mrs. Unverhehrt worked as a teller at the Old Exchange National Bank in Okawville until her and Alfred started their family in 1957. Verdell was an active p
