STANLEY DROEGE
Mr. Stanley Droege of Johannisburg, IL departed this life in the Extended Care Unit of the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 4:02 P.M. He had attained the age of 92 years, 11 months, and 23 days.
Stanley was born at home in Johannisburg on February 19, 1932, the son of Oliver and Alma (nee Schuetz) Droege. He was united in marriage to Ora Mae Weeke in the St. John United Church of Christ in Johannisburg on June 6, 1958, and she survives his passing.
Mr. Droege was a lifelong and faithful member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Johannisburg, where he held various offices throughout his lifetime. Stanley also served the church as a custodian and cut and trimmed the grass at the church cemetery for many years. He joined the United States Navy in 1952, having attained the rank of Yeoman Petty Officer 2nd Class.
