Mr. Stanley G. Povolish of Nashville, IL, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 12:53 P.M. He had attained the age of 91 years, 6 months and 19 days.
Stanley was born on June 29, 1933, in Beaucoup, IL, the son of Stanley J. "Jim" and Annie (nee Nowak) Povolish. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Schmersahl on November 10, 1960, in Lively Grove, IL and she survives his passing.
Stanley was a proud member of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was a self-employed electrician and plumber. Stanley was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, and he also was active with the Knights of Columbus. Stanley was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and he enjoyed being outside hunting and fishing. He loved his family dearly and cherished his time spent with his grandchildren.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Povolish of Nashville, daughter Theresa Rhodes and her husband Shaun of Nashville, son Mark Povol
