Mrs. Irma Claudine Maxwell of Mt. Vernon, IL, formerly of Nashville, IL, departed this life at the Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon, IL on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 3:48 P.M. She had attained the age of 84 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Irma was born on July 2, 1939, in Nashville, IL, the daughter of Walter and Ann (nee Kult) Decker. She was united in marriage to Vernon George Maxwell on June 15, 1957, in Nashville, IL and he preceded her in death.
Irma worked many years as a Customer Service Manager for Walmart. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, IL where she was involved with the Dorcus Circle. Irma enjoyed crafting and loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
Left to mourn her passing is her son, Clay Maxwell; grandson, Bryan Maxwell and his significant other Sarah of Mt. Vernon, IL; 3 great grandchildren, Kylie, Eli and Bryley Maxwell; brother, Leroy Decker; 2 sisters, Ione (Terry) Williams and Bernice (Robert) Norton
