Mrs. Melanie D. Kempfer of rural Centralia, IL, departed this life at her residence on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 9:20 P.M. She had attained the age of 51 years, 5 months and 6 days.
Melanie was born on December 21, 1972, in Centralia, IL, the daughter of Jeff and Mary Beth (Riechman) Emrick. She was united in marriage to Tommie Kempfer on February 7, 2017, and he survives her passing.
Melanie worked in the medical field as a CNA and a caregiver, and she was of the Baptist faith. Her favorite pastime was antiquing and spending time with her family and friends.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband Tommie Kempfer of Centralia, IL; son, Zachary Smith of Farmington, MO; stepson, Jesse Kempfer of Centralia, IL; 3 grandchildren, Brook, Orion and August Kempfer; great grandchild, Daxton; mother and stepfather, Mary Beth and Ronnie Jones of Farmington, MO; other relatives and friends.
Per the wishes of Melanie and her family, cremation will be performed and there will be no public services.
