Mr. Germain "Butch" Malawy of Nashville, IL departed this life on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 8:45 P.M. while spending time at his cabin in rural Nashville. He had attained the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 27 days.
Butch was born on June 21, 1950, in East St. Louis, IL the son of Harry and Rose (nee Smugala) Malawy. He was united in marriage to Judy Cross in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL on August 13, 1977, and she survives his passing.
Butch attended both Posen and St. Ann's Grade School and was a 1968 graduate of Nashville Community High School. He was a faithful member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Catholic Church in Posen. He farmed for most of his life, and he worked at Nascote Industries in Nashville for 27 years until his retirement. After his retirement, Butch went into business for himself and opened Broken Arrow Guns.
Butch was an avid outdoorsman. He was a professional hunter and guide, and he enjoyed going fishing. He liked working with his
